Week In Review

This week was a little long, but fun. In my new calling at church I am the 2nd counselor in the YW program. We had a combined Tri-Ward YM YW night at Bowman's Bay. We could not have asked for better weather or more fun.

We bbq'd.

We played games.

We ate smores!!!

Lots of fun. The kids had a great time.

Right after the smores we were able to watch a few whales playing around in the bay. It was amazing. I did not get clear pictures of that.

Saturday we had a Tri-Ward picnic at City Beach. We had great weather again. Lots of fun and sun. Here is Paisley soaking it up.

She had a blast running around playing. George made the homemade rootbeer for everyone.
On Sunday night we had some dear friends over for dinner. Tallie, Tony, Amy and Ryan graced us with their presence. We decided to do shish kabobs for dinner.

We then played games and enjoyed tons of laughs. We love you guys!!!

Tallie brought dessert...her new recipe...red velvet cupcakes from scratch. They were awesome! Thanks again Tallie for using us as your guinea pigs and thanks for loaning me the red wagon.

Hope you all had a great week and a nice week to come.
We are headed to the cabin this coming weekend for some R&R.

Bite of Seattle 2010

This is the second year George and I have attended the Bite of Seattle. It was just as good. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Seattle...a fabulous hotel. Everytime we go to Seattle we stay at a different hotel to see which one we like best. This one has moved to the number 1 position. Loved it! Paisley stayed home with my sister and her family. Thanks Christine and Kyanne!

I even took a bath...it was so relaxing.

Once we checked in we took the monorail to the Seattle Center to enjoy a day of eating. My favorite is the fried macaroni and cheese. It was fabulous!!!!

We had corn on the cob, mango lemonade, pulled pork, fried mac and cheese, chocolate covered frozen cheesecake...and much much more. It was so much fun. Back to the gym today for sure!

George loved the kalbi beef korean tacos.

After eating our way through the bite we took the monorail back to downtown Seattle and went and saw another movie in 3D. Again we were the only ones in the theatre for a private showing. Weird.

After the movie and late at night we went to a steak house for dinner. Then to the Cheesecake Factory to pick up a couple of cheesecakes to take back to the hotel for dessert. Again I stress....back to the gym today.

Saturday morning we woke up and headed to Nordstroms for their anniversary sale. It was so much fun. Right out of the movies where there were tons of ladies buzzing around for shoes. George bought me these two pairs. He is THE BEST HUSBAND and not just because he buys me things. I love you George.

Then we headed home. We had a wedding Saturday afternoon to attend. Eph and Jenni were married in Freeland. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful wedding. I took a picture of these things because they did not miss anything. The details were wonderful. I have never seen the Jones Soda thing. You can personalize the labels on Jones's Soda. They did their thank you's that way. Loved it.

Her colors were green and brown. Very lovely!

Jenni is my cousin's sister in law and Eph and I work together and also went to high school together. Here is my new cousin David. He is very cute in his cumberbun.

Sunday night Tallie and Tony came over to test out a new recipe on us. Thanks Tallie-you are a great cook. These are chocolate, cream cheese frosted, carmel drizzled cupcakes. Feel free to test on us anytime. We had a great visit with you!

Great weekend all around.

Suma Bean Bag

George decided that we needed a bean bag chair. He found one that is called a Suma Bean Bag...it is huge. Two people can easily sit on it....Paisley has claimed it as her own.

Thanks Uncle Kona!!!

Many thanks Uncle Kona for the pretty dress from GAP!!!

Public Works Camp Trip

This year at work they decided to plan a Public Works camp out. It was last weekend at Friday Creek. Great spot really. Close to the Skagit Casino headed North.

Paisley and I went up for the day...George stayed over to camp.

There was a creek that the girls played in. The rest of us put our camp chairs in the water and cooled off with our feet in the creek.

A friend that shows dogs let the girls walk her award winning babies. They had a ball.

The camp site where everyone just chilled and talked.

I would go camping more if I had one of these. They are like motel rooms.

But no....we have only a tent.

The girls took the camera from me and took pictures.

They did pretty good actually. My cousin's family were there too. Her husband works with us at the City.

Here is our good friend Hermina. Once again...the girls took this.

And this one of my cousin Jenn.

All in all a good day at the camp site. Not good enough to change my mind about camping though.

Paisley's New Playset

As we said in an earlier post...we ordered Paisley a playset from Costco. It arrived and we began the install. George did most of it, but Paisley and I helped too.

For the most part it was really easy to put together. Very organized.

And so we began...

Paisley supervising.

George put me to work putting on the grippers on the climbing wall. Paisley is testing them out to make sure I put them on tight enough.

The tower is together...

Almost there....

The slide is up and is being tested once again by Paisley.

Kyanne and Jeneva came over to help out too. The swings are up.

And it is all done. The finishing touches were put on last night.

Now the fun begins!
