Snow, shopping and more...

Paisley and Jeneva ready to go out in the snow.

With their sleds-waiting for George to put on his winter gear.

George pulling the girls on the sled.

He is going to be one tired daddy/uncle.

Paisley and George made a snowman.
This year we decided to do our 2 turkeys fried style.  They are not greasy at all and the meat stays nice and moist.  Here is George braving the snow to cook them up.  We had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends over.  Tons of food and laughs.  Hope you all did too.

Paisley has been a little sick lately.  Here she is wearing her Thanskgiving hat I bought from ETSY.com.

Friday my dear friend Amy and I always go Black Friday shopping.  This year we are only getting Paisley art supplies, interactive items and books.  She just doesn't play with anything else.  Here is a couple of things I bought for her that day.  I am happy to say I am ALL DONE with my Christmas shopping.

At work we particpate in the Tree of Hope program for kids in need.  I picked out a 9 year old girl that wanted art supplies.  Well, she will have them now.  Cool deals and great finds at Costco.

I am not a big Thanksgiving dinner lover.  In fact, I only like turkey, mashed potatoes and the corn.  Everything else just doesn't appeal to me.  I don't even like pies!!!  I do however love left over turkey sandwiches with tomatoes and mayo.  They are to die for!!!

After I had my fill of turkey...I was so glad to go out with a dear friend for a nice juicy burger.  Thanks Linda!

Fun Weekend

Well, we had a fun filled weekend. It began Friday when I took off the afternoon to finish up one last thing for Amanda's babyshower that Sarah, Linda and I were doing Friday evening.

Linda and Elizabethe met me at my office and we took off to Anacortes for lunch and the Toy Store. I needed to pick up my book to finish off the gift.

Here we are at Gere A Deli....my favorite!

We went bad and even shared a panda dessert. It was divine.

Thursday night I made my red velvet cupcakes. Thanks to my dear friend Tallie for her recipe. It was a hit!!!

I finished them up right before the shower so the frosting was fresh and topped them off with a pecan. I will have to say these are messy too make, but so worth it.

After lunch and shopping I picked up Paisley and we went home to find this...Abbey ate all of my chocolate and candies for the babyshower game I was doing. $20 worth of chocolate. I was furious. She was a little sick, but survived.
Chocolate is poison for dogs. I quickly went back down to the store and bought another $20 worth of chocolate.
Did I say I was furious???? I was steaming mad with Abbey.

I called up George to give him a heads up and told him how furious I was....on his way home he stopped by the store to buy me some roses to make me feel better. It did!!!!

The babyshower was a huge success. About 30 people showed up and I know Amanda appreciated it all.
Saturday afternoon we headed to our annual trip to Disney on Ice. This begins our families holiday season. Here is Paisley...she was sooooo excited to go.

My cousin and her family were there too. In all there was 15 of us.
These are the toys the girls picked out.

Paisley did not like the hat as you can tell...

Here we are...waiting for the show to begin.

The rest of the motley crew.

We had Kyanne put on one of the hats.
Jeneva picked out a snow cone Minnie.

It was a really good show. We had a great time!

Paisley loves Mickey and Minnie. We are a Disney family you know.

Sunday we went to church and then after church was cousin Linnsey's birthday party. Paisley was all ready in her party dress from church so we headed over for some birthday fun.

Mommy deserves a medal this weekend. All daddy had to do was sit around the house playing video games for a day and a half. He had fun too!
Well, that was our fun weekend. Now let the Holidays begin!!!

Halloween 2010

This was a fun Halloween. Lots to do and lots of fun.

It began Wednesday night when we took all 15 Beehives door bell ditching. I made these ghost brownies to hand out. They turned out so good.

Then we were door bell ditched ourselves!!!! This pail was full of fun stuff...Paisley claimed it for herself.

Here is our little bee ready for the church activity Saturday night.
I even found this bee candy bag at Pottery Barn to match her outfit.

I painted her nose, so she painted daddy's nose.

Not a great picture. We did the cake walk at church...here is Paisley, Jeneva and Kyanne in the background.

Paisley's haul from the trunk or treat.

After the church party we went to Melissa's party. So glad we have Kyanne. We had a great time Melissa. I made these pinwheels to bring along.

They are super simple. Just cream cheese this Jalapeno bread and butter mix and tortillas. Just mix, spread, roll and cut. Great eats! We get the mix from Friday Harbor when we go to the cabin.

Here is Paisley after church. I found this cute Halloween dress months ago for her to wear. She looked fabulous!!! She is showing off her popcorn hand they made in nursery.

She loved it so much she was kissing it the entire way home.

After church we had Melissa and Kona over for dinner and left over snacks from her party.

George finally did his pumpkin.

George and Paisley lighting our pumpkins for the trick or treaters.

And off Paisley, daddy and Uncle Kona went. Paisley had enough candy from the trunk or treat so mainly they just hit the neighbors so they could see Paisley in her costume.

After Skyping with grandma and Papa Nick she guarded the candy waiting for the trick or treaters to come to our door. This is priceless. I can't remember the last time she sat so still and for so long.

Hope everyone else had a great Halloween too.
